A Tease Of The New Book Cover

Next February will bring Murder On Skinner Lane, the start of a new series (if the first one sells enough copies), set in 1862 and featuring Virginia Cooper, a very unofficial female detective with Leeds Police, as Asa Daniels, an very vocal American abolitionist who’s feld to England after three attempts on his life and settled in York, lodging with a Quaker couple.

I saw the cover earlier this week. It really grabs the attention, and soon enough I’ll show it all, along with the cover copy. For now, though, just a tease, along with the line It’s 1862 and the Confederates are in Yorkshire.

It’s not available to pre-order yet, but would you buy that?

One other thing, please indulge me. The ebook of No Precious Truth received a boost and rose to around 1400 on the Kindle charts in the UK, 2300 in the US. I was gobsmacked. The sequel, The Faces Of The Dead, has been doing well, too. Now, No Precious Truth is just 99p for the ebook (99c US). if you don’t already have it, would you be willing to spend that tiny amount? Maybe get it near the Top 100? It was my birthday last month, so think of it as my present.

Yes, I would be very grateful. Thank you.
